The original ROCKY AND RAMBO, Sylvester Stallone has an icon for machismo for decades now. Currently in his 60’s, he still looks extremely fit, with his muscles in place and oozes charm and sexuality. From the days of Rambo, where he essayed the role of a troubled Vietnam War veteran, sporting a mane of unruly hair, to this day where he is still flaunting normal looking hair, Sylvester has definitely defied age. Though in his movie “Judge Dread”, people noticed his receding hair line in the slick back look, now he’s back in action with his hair in place.Though speculations are rife about him having undergone hair restoration in the form of hair transplant, there has been no confirmation from the sides of his spokesmen. Whatever the case, some doc has done an amazing job with his hair.
What is hair transplant?
This is a surgical method to restore hair. Surgical methods are incredibly quick and result oriented. If skillfully performed, they can last a life time, with a natural finish unlike the fake appearance that a wig offers. This is the most safe and effective form of hair treatment.. But it is important to note the caliber and density of hair on the posterior scalp as that is the donor region. Higher the density and better the quality, better the hair growth in the transplanted region. The procedure involve removing the healthy hair bearing portions with follicles that are genetically resistant to baldness and transplanting them onto the bald patch where they take root and grow as natural hair. Also termed as follicular unit transplantation, it can be best explained as redistribution of hair on the scalp. The follicular groupings are removed from the posterior part of the scalp by an elliptical excision and carefully dissected and divided into follicular units which are then added on the recipient site of the scalp. These sites are carefully created between thinning hair and the effect of this surgery can last for years.
