Sylvester Stallone’s Hair Transplant

The original ROCKY AND RAMBO, Sylvester Stallone has an icon for machismo for decades now. Currently in his 60’s, he still looks extremely fit, with his muscles in place and oozes charm and sexuality. From the days of Rambo, where he essayed the role of a troubled Vietnam War veteran, sporting a mane of unruly hair, to this day where he is still flaunting normal looking hair, Sylvester has definitely defied age. Though in his movie “Judge Dread”, people noticed his receding hair line in the slick back look, now he’s back in action with his hair in place.

Though speculations are rife about him having undergone hair restoration in the form of hair transplant, there has been no confirmation from the sides of his spokesmen. Whatever the case, some doc has done an amazing job with his hair.

What is hair transplant?
This is a surgical method to restore hair. Surgical methods are incredibly quick and result oriented. If skillfully performed, they can last a life time, with a natural finish unlike the fake appearance that a wig offers. This is the most safe and effective form of hair treatment.. But it is important to note the caliber and density of hair on the posterior scalp as that is the donor region. Higher the density and better the quality, better the hair growth in the transplanted region. The procedure involve removing the healthy hair bearing portions with follicles that are genetically resistant to baldness and transplanting them onto the bald patch where they take root and grow as natural hair. Also termed as follicular unit transplantation, it can be best explained as redistribution of hair on the scalp. The follicular groupings are removed from the posterior part of the scalp by an elliptical excision and carefully dissected and divided into follicular units which are then added on the recipient site of the scalp. These sites are carefully created between thinning hair and the effect of this surgery can last for years.

Jhonny Depp’s Hair Transplant

Johnny Depp is known for his versatility as and actor. Depp has played many characters in his career, and sported different looks and hair styles for each of them. His commendable performances such as the show from screen greats such as Antonio Banderas in the finale to Robert Rodriguez's "mariachi" trilogy and once Upon a Time in Mexico saw him grow by leaps and bounds as an actor. In that same year he starred in the marvelous family blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” playing a character that only a star like Depp could pull off: the charming, conniving and roguish Capt. Jack Sparrow. In this role, he wasn’t just celebrated for his performance but also for his appearance. The unique Jack Sparrow hair style did not go unnoticed.

With time, Johnny Depp experienced hair loss which was noticed by his fans and criticized by the critics. With the stardom, he also had to change his hair style and hair color which involved his hair getting exposed to a lot of chemicals and hair colors. His hair density became scarce with his scalp being exposed, whenever he opted for a middle parting.

Lately, the media has noticed that his hair is looking well again, with a normal heap even in the front. Grapevine has it that Johnny opted for a hair transplant to get back his normal look again. Though it’s not been confirmed by Depp himself, but people who have seen his before and after images swear by the fact that Depp has gone under the knife to get this effect. By the look of his photographs, looks like his doctors have done a fantastic job as it’s hard to figure out that he wasn’t born naturally with the hair that he is sporting nowadays.
